(UPPCL) came into existence on January 14, 2000, because of power sector reforms and restructuring of Public Sector Power companies in the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP). UPPCL is the focal point of the Power Sector in the state of Uttar Pradesh, it is responsible for planning and managing the sector through its transmission, distribution and supply of electricity.

The test shall be of 3 hours duration with total 200 marks and shall comprise of 200 questions out of which 150 questions shall be from the Diploma level Engineering branch syllabus, 20 question of General Knowledge/Awareness, 20 questions of Reasoning and 10 questions of General Hindi.
